The flow of information up and down the supply chain plays a key role in this process and so we have developed VCS as a channel for the rapid two way exchange of business critical data between our organisations. VCS has been designed to be both simple and intuitive, whilst at the same time providing powerful business benefits to both parties.
Using the internet, VCS takes data on Unipart's Delivery Schedules and makes it available to our suppliers, who respond, initially with their Delivery Plans and later on with shipment details - ASN's. Unipart takes the data from VCS and makes it available to our Jaguar Dealer systems and thus it is immediately available to the Jaguar Deal network around the world.
